These photos were taken of me, by me, with no help from anyone else using my Nikon CoolPix 2500 and a miniature tripod. They were taken in 2004 while I was traveling alone in Cambodia after teaching for a year in Japan and before returning to Canada to pursue my MBA at Sauder. As you can see in the pictures, I had gained some weight, I would gain even more over the first half of the MBA before finally getting into the gym and trying to fix my knee and shoulder.
Although an analysis of my travel journal will reveal I wasn't very happy all alone in Cambodia, I at least was trying to fight against the veil of despair that was enveloping me, as atested to by the fact that I smiled and gave the keep on rockin' sign in the photos. Things got worse for me.
