To help my then loyal readers and the search engine spiders find things easier I created a site map for Muschamp.ca That said the most recently added content is usually on my blog or at least linked to from my blog. I've since made this website a lot more dynamic as Wordpress has improved and I've had way too much time on my hands so I ended up writing more PHP than I ever wanted to.
Many of these new pages haven't been added to this handcoded sitemap, but maybe I should as it might help with search engine optimization. SEO has taken a backseat to all things social online. I'm still not sure I'm as social as I used to be before my MBA. I've made some web mashups and news aggregators as well as used SimplePie to include feeds for content I've created elsewhere. But like I said that content isn't in this sitemap for the most part, nor is it in another XML sitemap that a WordPress plugin makes of my blog's content. I don't think that is of any use to real human websurfers but Google uses it to ensure my website is indexed frequently and accurately.
There all typed out, now I just have to keep it up to date. I did it all by hand using only BBEdit. Why? because I'm stubborn in a stick-to-it-ness kinda way. Am I more stubborn than Marlene Lau, that remains to be seen...
I just upgraded to BBEdit 8.2.3 and while reading the manual I discovered the index set of commands which possibly could have been used to generate the basis of this site map. Of course I would still have had to beautify it, but it probably would have saved time...
